Default Re: most emotionally devasting moment in film

[ QUOTE ]
Can't pick just one...

* From my favorite movie, the final scene of "Y Tu Mama Tambein." They go from being two great friends to mere acquaintances over the events of the film. The narrator's last line is what gets me. "They will never meet each other again."

* The entire running time of "United 93."

* The end of "Kids" where nothing is better.

* Surprisingly, the first season of "Nip/Tuck" when Megan O'Hara kills herself after her cancer comes back.

* And yeah, "My Dog Skip" made me cry when I first saw it in elementary school.

A few that were already mentioned that definitely got me:

* End of Requiem for a Dream
* End of American History X
* End of Big Fish (definitely cried a bit there).
* Lennie in "Of Mice And Men," though I haven't seen a film version.

Big Fish is a very special film.

Hopefully, (a la Casablanca), it will grow in recognition and stature as the years pass.
