Default Re: Updated Cliff Notes On Absolute Poker Scandal (18th October)

Guys,

I just got the Casinomeister newsletter... here's what Bryan has to say:

WORD FROM THE MEISTER

ABSOLUTE POKER - A DAY LATE AND A DOLLAR SHORT?

Or perhaps they're a month late in having a third party investigate the allegations many players have been making since mid-September. If you have been living in some non-poker cyber-cave and don't know what has been transpiring, Absolute Poker is in the crosshairs of a large group of players who claim they have evidence of cheats in the poker room. The allegations are that these cheats work there.

Absolute Poker is licensed in Kahnawake, which doesn't have a stellar record of getting involved with player complaints, but it looks like the Mohawks are taking this one seriously. Here is a report from Infopowa news today

[Infopowa report snipped]

Now, these guys were placed into the not recommended section of the rogue pit before my Barcelona trip. This was mainly due to the sloppy way this was being handled. That was a few weeks ago. Now it seems they are finally getting a third party involved. And by the statement from Kahnawake, it appears to be initiated by the Mohawks and not by the poker room. In my opinion, this poker room should have taken the bull by the horns as soon as the first complaint came in. I don't think they had a clue to what was going on.

I met a representative from Chipleader two weeks ago in Barcelona. Chipleader is the affiliate/advertising program for Absolute Poker. He was not aware that Absolute Poker was in the rogue pit at Casinomeister, nor was he aware of the thunder and lightening going on in the fora.
