Default Re: NL100 - 200bb Deep w/ the 3rd nuts

So river was clearly a no brainer.

I guess my question was really in regards to the flop and likely results oriented.

While I thought about raising the flop, I chose to call as figured I was way ahead of his range and might as well give him a chance to bluff at me in position or perhaps make my hand look like a float on the turn.

In retrospect, I think AA, AK, 55 pay off and shove over a flop raise. Everything else I beat is done with the hand regardless of my action. In addition, If I think I'm way ahead of his range, why wouldn't I bet? I can only justify this with the ever-weak 'varying my play' qualifier.

In the end, villain held AQ – one of the hands I wanted to give a chance to catch up. Careful what you wish for.
