Default Re: In your estimation, is 10NL real poker?

[ QUOTE ]
What I mean by this is, will I see players limp/call a 5-7x BB raise from the early position? Will I see players move all in on a suited and coordinated board with one pair often?

I saw this kind of thing all day on Sunday at a 2/3 NL game in my local B&M cardroom. And that was real poker, at least the $200 I won was pretty real.

My favorite in this $300 effective stack game was when there were 5 limpers to BB who raised to $20, got 4 callers, the flop was 67Kr, BB bet $75, and an old man in LP called. The turn was a 5x. BB goes all in, and the old man calls. The river is a Tx. The BB says "nice call, sir, I had nothing," showing AQo. The old man shows 45o as he rakes in the $600 pot with a pair of fives, and says, "I had an open ended straight draw on the flop...what else could I do?" And the old guy was serious.

So, is your game real poker? Yes, it is.
