It may do a poor job of distinguishing between this forum and OOT. But that's only important to newcomers, who if they stay long enough to get interested, will presumably pick up the cultural differences pretty quickly. And if posts are still limited to El D's chosen (is that still going to be the case?) then you don't have to worry about them starting inappropriate OPs.

this is exactly why i suggested Colloquial Confabulation, a synonym of general discussion but with a more "high brow" sound...and an alliteration as a bonus!

I actually don't like the idea of trying to make it sound more highbrow, though. I'm not sure I have a very good reason for this, I just find it aesthetically unpleasing.
