I am all for being direct in a nice way if you can pull it off, but there is a certain type of woman who will hate you forever if you tell her something like this, especially in the south (I am saying this because I am from the south).

edit: you can also get away with being direct if some bad [censored] went down between you and her and she feels bad about it.
