If I remember correctly, the cards used in the different casinos seemed to vary quite a bit in feel anyway. I don't know the types of cards, but the Harrah's (Showboat,etc) cards were kind of heavy, whereas the Borgata's were rather light. When I was dealing at Showboat, they changed to a different type (about a year ago), and the new cards were lighter with less of a plastic feel.

Maybe someone can chime in with some specifics on the cards, but I would just suggest getting a decent plastic deck and practicing with them. That will be a significant upgrade from practicing with a paper deck.
