Why would you still drink from a can that's covered in ooze? Just pour it into a glass FTW. Soda tastes better in a glass with ice, anyway.
The answer to this is sideways, because you just buy those fridge-specific 12-packs that keep all cans covered from any potential ooze incidents with its roof of cardboard, allowing you to reach in and take out a fresh can any time you want, unfettered by steak blood or kung pao sauce from the leftovers.
