I actually had a brief period of not keeping kosher in any way shape or form; I ate seafood/pork/bacon etc. At some point, my "cultural consciousness" appealed to me that eating pig was just not something Jews do. Eventually this progressed towards keeping (by the standards of US Conservative Judaism) properly kosher.
