Default Re: How To Win No-Limit Tournaments by Tom McEvoy

I haven't looked at McEvoy's book in quite some time. I remember that he advocates a very tight, stay out of trouble type philosophy which may not have a lot of relevance in the typically more aggressive styles you see in today's tournies.

He has a lot of stay out of trouble type advice.

If you've read HOH there's no particular need to seek out McEvoy. You'd be better off applying your time to rereading HOH.

If you're looking for a good read that's tourney applicable, you can't go wrong with Chen/Ankenman's Mathematics of Poker. I've applied a lot of their thoughts in my MTT game. The material can be difficult but the book is very well written and fills in a lot of holes not covered in other literature. MoP is outstanding.
