If you're going to limp in with this dog on third, why not bet when you catch good on fourth?
Three-bet fifth. A straight is a good hand, but hardly invulnerable. I'm guessing many at this level will call along with a straight draw anyway.
Maybe slow down a bit on the river. You're hardly locked. That the other guy called your three-bet on sixth and raised the river suggests that he improved. Maybe his wheel turned into a flush or his set turned into a full house. Or maybe he's clueless. You were in the game and we weren't. You could hardly be faulted for just calling. Given how much action he's given with what was clearly not the best hand, you could hardly be faulted for capping, either.
