My thoughts: generally I fire the flop continuation bet HU in 3-bets pots as the preflop reraiser the majority of the time. However I was thinking here 1) I dont usually 3-bet with AJ but I did this time 2) He's not likely calling a 3-bet OOP with a worse J 3) his range is mostly pairs and AK/AQ

- therefore if I fire a FCB and he continues he's either got me beat with overpair/set or is making a move with air. If he has me beat obviously checking is at least okay.

Giving a free card isnt that bad because he's like down to 2 or 3 outs. If he has AK/AQ he has 3 outs, but 2 outs to lose a significant amount of $ (if ace hits). If he has a pocket pair he's down to 2 outs. There are no draws past 65 which is very unlikely.

I check. Thoughts?

(plan is to likely call a turn bet on all cards, and then evaluate if he fires river, or value bet if he checks. If I improve plan is to get all-in.)

This speaks to the broader issue of firing a FCB in 3-bet as the preflop reraiser. General ideas welcome.
