Default Re: Book : Tex Hold Starting Hand Strategy by Robert & William McCaule

I flipped through it this weekend at the Gambler Book Store, Howard was raving about it. But I generally don't take Howards' advice because he still asks me how I am doing and if I won a bracelet yet, he must think I am someone else - I dont have the heart to tell him otherwise because he too old to remember - I [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Howard!

Anyway it seems to be a book of starting hands based on position and opponents. The book's cover is deceptive, it comes across as a beginers book but the content seems to be an analysis of equity ala Stox Trader (but with color charts).

It looks like very interesting content, it might be good. Only problem I see is that for 99% of all players the severity of their mistakes pre-flop and not as huge as their mistakes post-flop. Post flop is where an expert thrives.
