Re: Casino AZ now runs live single table SNGs!
Although I often play $100 + $10 + $3 SNGs (the $3 buys an extra chip which in effect becomes the dealer/staff tip pool) at Hawaiian Gardens my guess is management will eventually discontinue them. They've slowed down a bit and remain a very inefficient use of assets. By this I mean there is a fair amount of waiting (by players and staff) for games to get started and when going the dealer is essentially dealing to a short table on average. Meanwhile the rest of the casino is usually running at high capacity.
They pay only two places on a nine handed table ($575 and $325). Most of the time the players agree to cut in third and make the payout $500/$300/$100. I like paying three places but hate this distribution (but usually agree anyway as long as the deal is made at the beginning). I'd like to see them add $10 to the buyin and pay $500/$295/$195 which would make it close to the online percentages.
