For me it would have to be the end of Apocalypse Now when the credits were running and the big screen was filled with flames. I have never seen a movie crowd act like I saw in that theatre. Total silence with everyone still seated. the only thing anyone said, until the credits were over, was someone telling the one person who stood up to leave to sit down about 1/2 way through the credits.
