Exactly right. OP is a stereotype poker mark for that reason. Someone who is under-capitalized and uncomfortable with losses thus unable to afford the risks that are vital to maximize EV.
I would also say that it is almost impossible to make a living (even as a professional) from raked B&M (one table) 1/2NL unless you happen to find a particularly reliable and juicy game with deep stacks. The game simply isn't big enough. You won't find genuine professionals playing 1/2NL except perhaps online or passing the time waiting for a bigger game.
