Default Re: podcasts

Riverboat,

You started a reggae thread a few days ago which I responded to, but forgot to add some podcasts. There are a few really good rocksteady and reggae podcasts:

REGGAE PODCASTS:

Dance Crasher
Algoriddim (has a two-part like 3 hour episode dedicated to Gregory Isaacs)
Pressure Drop Soundcast

NEWS PODCASTS:

Democracy Now
The Economist
NY Times
International Hour: Washington Post Radio
OC Register (local for me)

Also, I think the BBC has a couple podcasts as well.

Also, I don’t know if anyone else is inclined, but I like to listen to lectures on my ipod and there are a bunch of good ones:

Berkeley has like ~ dozen really good podcasts that are recorded straight from the professor’s lecture. There is a US History one called History 7B – Spring 2006: US History from the Civil War to the Present . This one has a ton of hour-long lectures on different events (WWII, the Vietnam War, and the Civil Rights Movement).

Harvard Press had an interview-with-the-author type podcast that covers many fields. Very interesting.
