When I used to log into my AIM (which has a whole bunch of players from HULA in it) this is probably the most common sort of question people ever asked, and my reply was usually that you should just play against the person for 20 or 30 minutes and get an idea for yourself. Whether you're a favorite against your opponent is sort of a relative thing, so depending on your own strengths and weaknesses it's entirely possible for two players to perform differently against the same opponent. If you can't afford to play 50 or 100 hands against someone only to find out that you think they're fairly stiff opposition it's probably not a great idea to be playing the limit in question anyways. If you have trouble identifying whether or not you've got the edge I would say a good rule of thumb is: "If you don't know why you're supposed to be winning, you're probably not."
