Easy you use a confederate.
When a friend comes to visit you from out-of-town, have him hit on her at the bar. Then your friend tells her she needs to take a bath, then you rush to her defense and kick this guy out of your bar. Apologize profusely to her for this guy being such a 'jerk'.
So your friend is the bad guy, you are the hero that rushes to her defense, and hopefully she gets the message. Oh...and your friend has to tell stinky in a voice loud enough for you to hear but not so loud where she gets embarassed in front of the whole bar. Sales people will tell you it is better to have a customer that is mad at you than to have a customer that you have shamed. You want her to experience a mild amount of shame and anger. If the whole bar hears this exchanged then this magnifies the shame to the point where she may never come back.
