Default Re: smallish tourney with some friend... no clue about blindsstructures

Here is my idea:

100 chips per $20 (maximum 200 chips to start), starting blinds 1/2. Chip distribution:

$1 - 10
$5 - 10
$10 - 4
$25 - 4 (this is for the second buyin)

Blinds:

1/2
2/4
3/6
4/8
5 minute break (chip up the $1 chips and end rebuy period)
5/10
10/20
15/30
20/40
5 minute break (chip up the $5 chips)
30/60
50/100
100/200
150/300
5 minute break (chip up the $10 chips)
200/400
400/800

Notes:

1. It is hard to determine how many chips will be in play and thus how long this will last. My suggestion is that you don't have enough chips for unlimited rebuys. If everyone does two buyins to start, you will have 3000 chips in play (15 players). If you allow something like 3 rebuys each that could add another 4500 chips into play.

2. If you have 20 minute levels, the third break is 12X20+5+5 which is 250 minutes. I would think this would be around the max time. If you feel you are going long you could eliminate the 150/300 level. My guess is that it will end at the 200/400 level or the 400/800 level (unlikely but possible) and it could very well be over by the third break.

3. You will need to bring the $100 chips into play and this will likely occur when you chip up the $10s and maybe even the $5s.

4. Keep in mind that when you give out rebuys, you will run out of $1 and $5 chips so you will need to hand out 4 $25 chips and get the players to make change at the table.

Any questions?
