Peavy WOULD have gotten his 20th win tonight. The announcers even mentioned he was trying to be the first Padre to do this since Gaylord Perry.
Obviously that ain't going to happen anymore now that it's tied again. But they are definitely regular-season games.
They used to have a 3-game playoff for such tie-breakers and those counted as part of the reg-season also.
Maury Wills's record of 165 games in a season is going to be hard to top.
