Paying $300-500 an hour for a good coach seems a lot of money, but think of how many $300+ pots you'll be involved in over the next month? How many of them you'll lose? How many you'll misplay? If paying a guy $300 for just one hour will cut down your misplayed big pots by just 1, that's already your money back.
That's why a good, reputable coach whom many players can recommend, is worth the money.
