I used the "you guys act like best friends" routine on these 2 girls a few months before the show aired. My 'target' actually called me out on it, "hey wait isn't that line from that book about pick up artists? Are YOU a pickup artist?"
It's pretty easy to dodge that bullet, I just turned the tables by saying, "You read a book about pickup artists? Are you trying to seduce me or something?" I eventually closed her. /brag
Anyways, openers are pretty easy. Even if they sort of know what you're up to, or have watched the Pickup Artist, girls still WANT to play the game. As long as you are a fun, spontaneous guy, they'll give you the time of day even if they do suspect you might be up to some shenanigans.
