This is not true and is what makes the collapse so disappointing. The offense has put up run numbers that should have been big enough to win many more games than they have, and has engineered some pretty significant comebacks that were ruined one way or another by the bullpen. The gutless aspect to this rests overwhelmingly with the pitching staff, mostly with the piece of [censored] bullpen that cannot get anyone out and has blown numerous sizeable leads the offense has given them.
