I never met any of them when I was in Japan. If I did, I didn't know, so to me, it wasn't a big deal, but they do exist. Japanese people in general aren't racist, IMO.

Difficult question. I personally feel that we did a lot of horrendous things in the past, and my responsibility is not to repeat them. I don't feel like *I* have to apologize though.

All I'm going to say is that almost everyone is Japan thinks that the US did an awful thing by dropping the bombs, regardless of whether that was the only way to stop the war or not.
