I agree with one of jayshark's comments above the most, that raise sizes are more dependent on table dynamics and the people you're up against. What the hand "is" means very little, since the value of every hand so situation-dependent.

For example, to me it makes more sense to bet more into calling stations when opening a hand for value. Instead of 4xbb, I might go 6xbb - whether the hand I'm v-betting is AA or AQ.

Position is another key factor, and stack sizes dictate your options a lot of the time as well.

Also, making the occasionally odd bet can be very effective in accomplishing it's intended purpose, and confuse people as well.
