I'd fold and leave the table.

There are 4 players at an 8-player table who have less than 1/2 a buy-in. If they are playing an aggressive short stack strategy while the 4 deeper stacks are trying to play medium-stack poker, then you will find yourself in a lot of tough spots like this one.

If MP2 does this a lot (like everytime he limps and somebody raises behind him), then call. If this is the first time you've seen it this session, then fold and change tables.

Given how many players are short, you might consider overlimping with the mid-pair and playing for an inexpensive set with good post-flop position.
