I think it has to be "clearly" identifiable. And as mentioned, it doesn't matter after the pot is pushed.

I'm far from an expert, but even if the hand was clearly identifiable and the pot hadn't been pushed, would it matter? This isn't a case of the dealer mucking someone's tabled hand, the guy folded. You can unmuck, but I don't think you can unfold.
