There was a time in poker when people kept their cards close to the chest and refused to give up an iota of information about how they played. Players would hide their hands from the cameras and tournament results beyond the cashes weren't even recorded so as to protect the privacy of the players, many of whmo likely wouldn't have consented to play in the first place if that info was going to be given out.

I like to call that time 2003.
