Note that this will have the added benefit of encouraging girl A (or was it B, I got confused?) to realise her feelings for you. At this point you have to play disinterested because either you've got no shot and so should move on, or you need to make her realise you're not just going to sit around doing what she tells you all the time.

IME, being the mum's favourite is a short cut to getting dumped. I would get a tattoo, or form a band or whatever it takes in south america for the mothers to not find you so acceptable.
