Kid's Dad had died the night before and one of the jackasses at school -- who was kind of this kid's rival...both were known "bullies," for lack of a better word -- needled him about it. Kid calmly got up, grabbed a chair, smashed the other kid over the head with it (knocking him out), and then just started kicking him over and over until someone stopped him.

I think they sent him home for the day. No one had a lot of sympathy for the guy who opened his mouth.
