This is just about how you look at things. I used to hate to go to museums because there was so much there that I couldn't stand. But I came to realize that if there was just one piece of art that I loved or found inspiring I could spend my time looking at that and that alone made the trip worthwhile.
At the poker table there will be the usual cast of characters. And almost always there will be several people (if not more) who I will genuinely like. These are the people who I will engage during the game - and, aside from the game itself, it makes it a very rewarding experience.
The odd birds make for good stories. I'm seriously thinking about bringing a lighter...
