Default Re: intermittent fasting

I would be eating paleo foods, I never really followed zone proportions because its too hard to find paleo friendly carbs, I still eat non paleo, but on a day in/day out basis most of my food is paleo. If I'm out with friends whatever ill eat pizza, i still drink coffee, i drink alcohol, i eat dairy, so basically its not really paleo hardcore per se, rather, i just dramatically cut down on my grains and upped veggies/fruit big time...and a lot more of my fat now comes from healthy sources.

As for IF, I am not eating any less than I used to, I'm just eating it differently. There is no caloric deficit other than the minor one I have myself on in general.

So for example, my normal routine was breakfast at 8am (4 eggs and a banana) a larabar at 10am, chicken breast +veggies lunch 1230PM, workout, dinner was fish/chicken/steak + veggies (7pm).

Now I am trying to condense all that, so for instance, today was no food til noon, where I had chicken salad, tomato, cucumber salad, worked out, came home made 5 eggs, an hour later ate chicken, broccoli, some cheese, etc... all this finished by 630pm....So same amount of food, just between 12-630. Tomorrow I am going to shoot for 1pm - 6pm. Most times I am going to try and have workout days (MWF) as fasting til after the workout, so say workout from 12-130PM, then eat from 130-7PM. Fast. rinse/repeat. weekends will probably be "normal" eating patterns.

Most people that are on IF love it, but my sample is skewed as it's all the people from CF that were too hard core for the CF forums and formed their own nutrition/workout forums....

I would be happy with literature, but I'm pretty sure there isn't any on IF other than for C. Elegans (a nematode)...
