I read all three of the "Official ePassporte" threads and none of them seem to have any useful or recent info.

Specifically, none of them address the simplest and most pressing question: RIGHT NOW, can a US citizen start an ePassporte account with reasonable probability of success?

Good god I wish there was some way to get quasi-reliable info on this stuff.
