the only reason people get banned is for posting threads in violation of a few simple rules. so, if you don't think you would get banned for that, you won't get banned. about 95% of bans in OOT are for OP's of threads that clearly, explicitly never should have been made there. about 4% are for people making blatantly racist or NSFW posts. there is that little 1% that gets nailed for being repeatedly and persistently and shockingly dumb in a way that derails a thread and ruins the forum, but that is quite rare.
