You are safe to use it, just don't upgrade it.

I had mine set to auto-upgrade, I set it to manual update now.

Help --> Check for New Versions Preferences...

Then click the

Even when it checks automatically, it doesn't download an upgrade automatically.

True - I just didn't want to forget and go ahead and upgrade after it checks, until the site is secure.
