Focus on getting a top goalie early, say in the first three rounds. You'll want your 2nd goalie no later than the 6th. Alternate between wingers and defensemen on the other picks (left wingers are more valuable than right wingers if your league makes that distinction). Centers are like kickers and catchers; they are a dime a dozen after the top guys go. Unless you can grab Crosby in the first round, just wait for a center.
And don't fill your bench with "solid veterans". Grab kids who are moving into 1st and 2nd line positions. Upside is huge in fantasy hockey, because 20-somethings come out of nowhere and explode into stars overnight.
