Thanks. You brought a memory back for me. Years ago, I think UCLA students started it, but I know the Dukies did it, too. At basketball games, they held newspapers in front of them, and when the announcer introduced the starting lineups, they'd drop their papers down and shout:
California.
"Who's that?"
Reno
"Who cares?"
For that to be as funny to anyone else as it is to me, you'd have to be in my mind, I guess, which isn't a fun place to hang out, believe me. But it was incredibly clever of those students "back in the day," and it still makes me smile.
