Default Re: Poker In Colorado?

That is a structure I have seen a decent bit. A couple of notes on long tournaments. We have not been able to get approval for a dealer add-on or withholding a portion of the prize pool so if we lengthen tournaments much we will be losing dealers (we had one today where they made less than $2/down). Our tournaments as they are aren't making enough money. There is a tradeoff; we could have longer, better structures, but the price would be higher.

We have been getting 70 (+ or - 10) players for the 300 on Sundays. They tell me this number will go down greatly at we get into football season. The tournament starts at 3 and ends around midnight giving 9 hours of play. If we added antes we could get it over with quicker. It has 30 minute levels and moves pretty slow. If it was extended the juice would have to go up and poker players really don't like that. Also we have to leave room to make sure it ends before closing time; nobody want to play all day and then count chips at 1;30 to see who wins.
