Personal trainers are good becuase they will keep you motivated, keep workouts fun/safe and you will have a schedule that you feel obligated to keep.


For a competent one you might be paying around 50 dollars an hour though. Sometimes getting a friend who knows a little about weight lifting and fitness can be just as good as a trainer. Im sure even on here people will be willing to help you with ideas..

If you do decide to get one make sure to ask which certification they have and research that certification. Look for ACSM or ACE preferably. Ones you can get online in an hour are no good.
