Default Re: Things you\'ve wasted lots of money on when you were younger

Baseball cards. Found a keystone Bowman 1952 Ted Williams card (worth $70 at the time) in my grandparents attic when I was 10 years old (1981) and continued to buy 1952 Bowmans whenever I saw one for the next 10 years, paying $35 to $50 a pop. Collected about 70 of them (about half the entire set) until they were stolen along with about $2000 worth of CD's and cassettes, and my comic book collection (many valuable early X-Men, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Spawn, etc.). The Ted Williams card was worth about $700 when it got stolen. Not sure what it's worth now. It still hurts a little bit when I think of all the time and care and money I put into those cards and comics. I would have continued to collect baseball cards forever if not for them being stolen. Now, 16 years later, it would seem such a waste of time and energy and money to try and get back to where I was. Christ, I could have paid off my house with all the money that got wasted on that stuff.
