They may not believe he lost solely because of his gambling position, but they will see that he couldn't win (or even close the race much) by using it. The favor he's doing us is that he's airing many commericials, and 100% of them are about his opposition to gambling expansion in KY. When he loses, that will be remembered here for some time.
