Look, nobody ever said there's anything wrong with finding humor in horrible things. But it should never be done in a way that trivializes what happened, or makes it seem as if you genuinely don't care.

Usually jokes are funny because, on some level, they're true, or they reveal some underlying aspect of human nature. Horribly evil or tragic things obviously reveal something about human nature. So I don't think it's a stretch to say that, sometimes, a certain kind of humor can be found in them.

However, there is no such humor in this thread. This thread is in poor taste not because it tries (and fails) to make a 9/11 joke, but because it does so in a way that says, "What happened on 9/11 is insignificant."
