Default Re: $114t- Common spot facing an AI OTB

Your hand is worth playing. Knowing that your opponent is a strong late tournament player is valuable in this situation because you now know that he is probably pushing with a wide range of hands.Y Having only about 7x the BB he would push with any pair, any suited ace, suited connectors and others like QT+ and stuff like that if he was strong late in tournys.

having said that, there is NO REASON AT ALL that you should shove all your chips in the middle. With the big blind having you covered you are taking a very big unnecessary risk if you push. The raise to you is almost 1000 and it's t850 to the big blind. He is not going to risk nearly a quarter of his stack by calling with some weak hand. Call and fold if the big blind pushes in pre-flop, but he will fold over 90% of the time if he's a rock. If he does call you can almost certainly put him on a non-premium pair, and check it down unless you or he hits.
