The only thing PAHUD does is confirm the stupidity of the players you are up against.

If you use PAHUD to figure out who the idiots are then I suggest you are using it wrong.

As far as reducing your variance....I would suggest the opposite.

PAHUD basically allows you to see mucked card information without having to dig.

Now if you didn't actually watch the betting pattern of the player and compare it to the mucked hands, its not going to tell you much.

However if you map the betting patterns to the mucked information as well as the made information, you are able to see when it is probable that pushing your edge will warrant more profit to you because its likely the player you are up against is making a lot of mistakes.

By pushing this edge against these opponents, variance must go up.

Variance is bandered about as a bad thing. I don't think it is.
