I figured my avatar would lead to bias accusations, but I'm really not being a homer. I've done Top 25 rankings for years and I have GT below their AP rank as often as I have them above it. I just happen to think the Jackets are really good this year. I had them #10 to start the year and the first two weeks, they've been really impressive while the teams above them (Louisville, Michigan, Wisconsin, etc.) have looked like crap. FWIW, I had them ranked the same as
CFN last week, so I'm not the only one who's high on Georgia Tech this year.
As for Oregon, on pure yardage differential, they actually led the Pac-Ten last year ahead of USC and just got unlucky on scheduling and turnovers. Now, they look to have a defense on par with their offense with the win over Michigan. I still don't think they're
quite as good as UCLA, but I do think they're a Top 10 team.
