FWIW, I used a script to extract everything in the whole thread that looked like an age and then reduce that down to the unique set of names and ages. I have not doublechecked every entry against the thread but this ought to be close.
If you count the 3 "40+" entries as 40 then the average is 34.8. If you count them as 49 then the average only goes up to 35.1. Either way the median is still 34...
