Might be a pain to do it but I would always remove cash from my poker account leaving enough to comfortably play with. The cash I withdrew I would send to an account (bank, neteller, whatever) that was otherwise empty meaning it wouldnt be accessible for 2/3 days if I lost the remaining cash in my poker account.

This assumes of course that your poker site doesnt have a reverse-withdrawal.

Alright, I accept this doesnt get to the root cause of your problem (but nothing short of mid/long term therapy or drugs is really going to tackle it) but it's a viable method and has saved me a decent amount of cash in the past when I've taken a big hit.
