Just for our information, can you describe how the option to tip was presented this year? Did anyone mention the tip when you were cashing out? In past years at the Bike, when there was no withholding for staff, they made a point of mentioning it when we were cashing out. I guess I prefer it the old way, but I'm sure it's worse for the staff.

When I finished in the money last year, they mentioned that if I wanted to leave any for the staff, this would be a good time. I was unprepared and didn't know if any had been taken out, so I left a tip.
I'm still not sure whether or not they took some out beforehand last year, but was more prepared this time. The procedure was identical this year... paid in chips, then a mention that if I'd like to leave any for the staff, he would make sure to distribute it properly. My reply this year was to make certain that 3% had been withheld for service, and that I felt this fee was appropriate.
