Default Re: Official MTTc [censored] donkaments thread - August \'07

hi, this isn't worthy of it's own thread, but I was wondering if someone could give me some bankroll advice. my bankroll hovered around 5k-7k for the past 3 months and i played $4/180s, $10/180s, and $20/180s and every tournamet under $30, up to 12tables. I would also occasionly play the nightly $100k, $50 FO, and the $11r. I had my breakthrough last night and now my roll is $18k. Can I give some advice on what tournaents to play? I used to do stars only but i think i'm going to try tilt now. I think i'll just do less than $100 FOs and $22r, and maybe occasional shots at the $150 and the sunday majors. also, i'm guessing I should take some of my roll out of stars? how much? I dunno if i'll have a deposit method if i do. I dunno. I am still intimidated just playing like a $50 FO so i'm not sure. thanks for any advice. If I spread my roll out, should I consider my roll on tilt and pokerstars seperate or together? thanks alot for any advice yo. Im gonna treat myself and buy like heroes on DVD or sumthang, werd. :-D

Chess, recently I had a similar increase in my bankroll, from about 5k-->20k and this is how I've adapted. One disclaimer though, my jump wasn't an overnight thing like yours, it's been a gradual increase w/ a few decent scores spread out over June-August, so that being said I suggest you take some time and really think about how you want to proceed.

Good idea for sure, I recently started playing on Full Tilt again after a long hiatus. They got a lot of good tournaments that you rolled for now. $50 to 163 FO's, I really like the $69+6. The $20r, 30r and 20r 6max are great too.

Besides any $ you want to transfer to Full Tilt, it depends on your finicial situation really imo. If you feel like you might need $ available then by all means go ahead and withdraw some, just make sure you leave enough on there to be able to withstand the standard MTT variance we all unfortunetly know to well about. I've made some withdrawals the last few months and currently keep about 1/2 bankroll online. I do play live every so often though, 15/30-30/60 minbet so I need cash for that.

Ease you way into it. Don't jump straight into multi-tabling $50-100 FO's, keep on multitabling the smaller buy-ins if you want, but what I do when I decide to play a few bigger buy-in mtt's I try and keep it to 4-tables or less.

I consider my total BR as being together, whether it's on Full Tilt, Stars or a bundle of cash. I think that's the way to do it, because let's say for some reason I would only have $200 on Full Tilt, well I def wouldn't grind micro mtt's on there and play $100 FO's on Stars if you know what I'm saying.

Besides that I try and play at least one of the Sunday majors every week, sometimes I try and sat. in but if that fails I just buy straight in.

Hope some of that helps.
